Concentrated ruby red wine, the nose shows an elegant, complex and varied bouquet of dark fruits, flowers, spices and undergrowth. The taste is lean, fine, balanced. Warm, fresh and rightly savory, it shows round tannins and a nice softness. Finale with excellent taste-olfactory persistence.

Packaging: 3 bottles of 0.75 lt Grapes: Sangiovese 95% - Merlot 5% Training system: spurred cordon Planting density: 3500/4500 vines/hectare Type of soil: sandstone- silty Altitude: 250 meters above sea level Vineyard age: over 25 years Harvest time: first week of October Fermentation methods: grapes selected from particularly suitable vineyards. Harvest of grapes with perfect phenolic ripeness, maceration at 35°C for 12 hours; followed by fermentation at a controlled temperature (max 29°C) and post-fermentation maceration on the skins for a total of 12 days from start of fermentation. Malolactic fermentation naturally takes place a few days after racking. Aging: in 225 lt French oak barriques (20% first pass, 80% second and third) for 12 months. Short passage in steel. Aging: in the bottle for 10 months. Ageing capacity: Morellino di Scansano structured enough to drink preferably after 4-8 years from the harvest. Pairing: with roasts and braised meats, succulent meat dishes, aged cheeses. Serving temperature: 16-18° C Ideal glass: a large Bordeaux type glass.
