Prodotto solo nelle grandi annate, un Supertuscan che integra perfettamente la migliore tradizione del Merlot e Cabernet Sauvignon con il territorio di Montalcino.Un vino austero, di rara concentrazione e struttura.
Confezione: 1 bottiglia da 0,75 ltDenominazione: Toscana IGTZona di produzione: Vigneti di proprietà, nella zona collinare del versante sud del Comune di Montalcino.Altitudine: metri 170 s.l.m.; Cabernet Sauvignon: metri 220 s.l.m. Giacitura: collina.Uvaggio: Merlot (60%) - Cabernet Sauvignon (40%).Metodo di produzione: Prodotto solo nelle annate più favorevoli. Le due varietà si vinificano separatamente in tini combinati in acciaio e legno Horizon a temperatura controllata, con macerazioni variabili tra 8 (Merlot) e 18 giorni (Cabernet). Alla fermentazione alcolica fa seguito la fase malolattica che si svolge in barriques in locali termocondizionati. Segue un affinamento a temperatura controllata di 15°C per un periodo di circa 20 mesi. Nei primi 12 le varietà maturano singolarmente per poi essere assemblate e maturate come blend nei successivi 8 mesi.
