Soil: marly, sandy, clayey with the presence of a skeleton. Strains per hectare: 3,800 sixth plant 2.80 per 1 mt. Vinification: 25 days with maceration on the skins. Aging: 48 months Aging: at least 6 months at controlled temperature and humidity. Wood type: Slavonian oak from 25 to 40 hl. Organoleptic examination: Sangiovese, in the long period of aging in oak barrels, becomes an intense ruby-colored wine tending to bright garnet, with a dry, warm, slightly tannic, refined and aromatic, with great structure and remarkable aromatic persistence. Even the scent intensifying over the years is expressed, in complex and varied shapes, from spices to woods, from tobacco to berries. Pairings: this wine is particularly suitable to be accompanied by important meat dishes, roasts of game and grilled meat and strong cheeses, Parmigiano Reggiano, Tuscan pecorino It is also an optimal combination with many dishes of international cuisine: roe deer, goose, rib, lamb, duck. It is advisable to uncork the bottle a few hours before consumption and serve it at a temperature between 18° and 20°.
Marchesato degli Aleramici è una cantina senese che nasce in una delle più antiche zone del mondo coltivate a vigna: quella di Montalcino, precisamente in un antico casale del Podere Galampio, una riserva naturale in cui la foresta scende fino al fiume Ombrone.È proprio qui che vengono prodotti vini storici, come il Brunello di Montalcino e il Rosso di Montalcino, etichette pluripremiate con riconoscimenti ottenuti da Vinitaly, Decanter, James Suckling nonché protagoniste nei locali più rinomati d’Italia e apprezzate da personalità come il Principe Alberto II di Monaco e Luciano Pavarotti.
