“IL SESTANTE - MONTE MASUA” AMARONE DELLA VALPOLICELLA DOCG 2017 - 1 bottle of 0.75 lt
Grapes: Corvina Veronese 70%, Rondinella 25%, Molinara 5%.
Origin: Monte Masua Vineyard, wonderful location, ideal for producing high quality grapes. The farming system is the traditional Veronese Pergola.
Vinification and Aging: Drying of the grapes for about 5 months in the fruit cellar, then 3 years in 35 Hl Slavonian oak barrels
Color: Deep and intense ruby red
Bouquet: Elegant and persistent, with hints of ripe cherry.
Taste: Full-bodied, rich, full on the palate and with classic notes of cherry and plum.
Alcohol content: 15% Vol.
Serving temperature: 16-18°C
First vintage: 1987
Pairing: By virtue of its softness it is perfect for game dishes, braised meats and also in preparations of considerable structure and intensity. It is also a great combination with long-aged hard cheeses, also accompanied by jams.

Grapes: Corvina Veronese 70%, Rondinella 25%, Molinara 5%
Origin: Vineyard “I Pianeti” of the Tenuta IL SESTANTE, is located in a hilly area and in a privileged position for great wine.
Vinification and Aging: Manual harvest at the end of September; fermentation in steel barrels for about 9 days, is then refermented on the Amarone pomace for about 8 days, with continuous daily pumping over. Subsequently it ages for 15 months in 65 hl Slavonian oak barrels
Color: intense ruby red
Aroma: abundant and complex, of remarkable elegance, with floral notes
Taste: good structure on the palate, excellent balance, with hints of cherry and jam.
Alcohol content: 13% Vol.

Pairing: Roasts and medium-aged cheeses. Valpolicella Ripasso is soft and round, and also allows combinations with small game and aged cheeses.
