Nicolas Maillart 1 bottle - Champagne Rosé Grand Cru Extra Brut

The choice of grapes and their soft maceration allow to obtain the delicate colour and aromatic richness of Pinot Noir. The Chardonnay grape that completes it brings freshness and minerality. Unique for its processing method and its origin, this rosé is a reflection of the exceptional quality of Bouzy's lands with its only Gran Cru grapes. The partial ageing in barrels gives the wine all the splendour and complexity of the flavour it deserves. Although naturally rich, it is weakly dosed (7 gr/1). Package: 1 bottle of 0.75 lt Colour: slightly pinkish with fine and persistent perlage. Bouquet: intense with hints of red fruits and light notes of vanilla. Flavor: a nice fresh attack followed by great finesse.

A winemaking tradition dating back to 1753, where ancestors worked the vine in the nearby village of Chamery. There is a document that suggests a much older ancestor, a “vine measure” from 1533, developed by Pierre Maillart, sworn surveyor in Chamery, on behalf of the Abbey of Saint-Nicaise. Today, the ninth generation is in charge with Nicolas, who after studying engineering and oenology, returned in 2003. Thus it perpetuates almost 300 years of history and preserves the philosophy of the house: to express in wines the potential of Champagne terroirs.
