In Sicily this grape variety has spread considerably since mid-nineties. The best productions are undoubtedly obtained from vineyards coming from land located around 400 meters above sea level and beyond. The fresh version, vinified in steel, is the one by far prevalent among Sicilian producers, a choice also shared by our winery.

Muscat grapes, precisely the “Moscato d'Alessandria” variety, it seems native to Egypt, was introduced in Sicily and took the name of zibibbo, from the Arabic zabib “raisin grapes”. Historically, Zibibbo is used to produce sweet wines, yet its grapes are perfectly suited to the production of excellent dry white table wines, an example is our Taif wine.
