Biosal è il sale marino prodotto in Italia un'oasi naturale protetta nelle saline di Trapani ed è ottenuto attraverso l'evaporazione dell'acqua di mare e raccolto a mano. Oltre al cloruro di sodio, che nel tipo fino raggiunge valori di circa il 98%, conserva piccole quantità  di costituenti secondari naturali quali solfati, magnesio, calcio, potassio e numerosi oligoelementi presenti nell’acqua di mare da cui si forma. Biosal vanta un perfetto equilibrio di sali minerali: minor Cloruro di Sodio, più Potassio, Magnesio e Iodio rispetto al sale comune e al salgemma. Inoltre viene essiccato a basse temperature per essere molito in una granulometria più fine ed è confezionato in modo semplice, senza additivi o antiagglomeranti.
