Exuberant wine, with aromas of wild blackberry and wild berries, a body balanced in tannins, with good structure and persistence. Our Merlot vineyards are all very old and this allows us to obtain a pleasant wine to drink immediately, which still has a further positive evolution over the years.

Packaging: 3 bottles of 0.75 lt
Grapes: 100% Merlot.
Harvest: By hand in boxes in mid-September.
Vinification: The destemmed and crushed grapes are left to ferment in steel macerators. During the alcoholic fermentation, punching down, delestage and pumping over are carried out alternately for a period of about 10-12 days. When racking, the wine is poured into stainless steel tanks and the pomace is pressed. Malolactic fermentation takes place in steel, then followed by the racking in large 25 hl oak barrels and in used second passage barriques. After 12 months, the wine is blended and bottled in the following month.
Serving temperature: 18° C.
Pairings: It is best expressed with fatty meats, cheeses and all robust red meat dishes.

Oscar Farinetti, Pierluigi, Silvano and Brigitte continue the path traced by the family of origin, continuing to interpret the tradition and personality of Friuli Venezia Giulia and combining the great quality respect for the earth and attention to native vines. Le Vigne di Zamò, however, remains a family and artisan company, which has been able to give prestige to its wines by charging them with intangible values until they become part of the myth.
Estimated between Monday 29 April and Tuesday 30 April.
