Package with three mixed bottles, to taste three different wines from the “Vignaioli Morellino Scansano” winery.

 

“ROGGIANO” MORELLINO DI SCANSANO RISERVA DOCG 2019 - 1 bottle of 0.75 lt
concentrated ruby red wine, the nose shows an elegant, complex and varied bouquet of dark fruits, flowers, spices and undergrowth. On the palate it is lean, fine, balanced. Warm, fresh and rightly savory, it shows round tannins and a nice softness. The finish has an excellent taste-olfactory persistence.
Grapes: Sangiovese 95% - Merlot 5%
Harvest time: first week of October
Fermentation method: grapes selected from particularly suitable vineyards. Harvesting of perfectly phenolic ripeness grapes, maceration at 35°C for 12 hours; followed by fermentation at a controlled temperature (max 29°C) and post-fermentation maceration on the skins for a total of 12 days from start of fermentation. Malolactic fermentation naturally takes place a few days after racking.
Maturation: in 225 lt French oak barrels (20% first pass, 80% second and third) for 12 months. Short passage in steel.
Aging: in the bottle for 10 months.
Ageing capacity: Morellino di Scansano, structured enough to drink preferably after 4-8 years from the
harvest.
Pairing: with roasts and braised meats, succulent meat dishes, aged cheeses.
Serving temperature: 16-18° C
Ideal glass: a large Bordeaux type glass.

“VIN DEL FATORE” GOVERNO SANGIOVESE IGT 2020 - 1 0.75 lt bottle
Sangiovese Governo Toscano Igt is an elegant ruby red wine, with pleasant notes of red fruits (plums, blackberries) and cherries) and spice accents. Medium bodied and dry, round on the palate with an elegant fruity finish and round tannins.
Grapes: Sangiovese 95% - Ciliegiolo 5%
Harvest period: mid-September for Ciliegiolo, beginning of October for Sangiovese.
Fermentation methods: the Sangiovese grapes are harvested by hand in small perforated crates and dried in cold rooms until they lose 15% of their weight. Vinification of Sangiovese at a low temperature (max 27°C) with maceration on the skins for 4-6 days, racking and end of fermentation without further contact with the skins. After about 4 weeks of drying, the Ciliegiolo grapes are pressed and, once full fermentation is reached, the previously vinified Sangiovese is added. Fermentation proceeds almost until the sugars are completely exhausted; malolactic fermentation is naturally activated at the end of the primary fermentation.
Aging: in steel for three months with fine lees.
Aging: in the bottle, starting from the month of May following the harvest.
Ageing capacity: to be drunk young, within 2-4 years from the harvest
Pairing: perfect with cold cuts appetizers, first courses with meat sauces and meat main courses.
Serving temperature: 16°C
Ideal glass: a large Bordeaux type glass.

“SICOMORO” MORELLINO DI SCANSANO RISERVA DOCG 2017 - 1 bottle of 0.75 lt
Concentrated ruby red wine, the nose offers great pleasure with the sweet spicy and fruity notes of marasca, berries, cinnamon and vanilla. Full, dry palate, with powerful but elegant tannins, balanced by alcoholic heat and softness. Balanced and long-lasting taste with fruity and spicy returns.
Grapes: 100% Sangiovese
Harvest period: first week of October.
Fermentation mode: harvest at perfect phenolic ripeness. The grapes are macerated at 35°C for 12 hours; followed by fermentation at a controlled temperature (max 29°C) and post-fermentation maceration on the skins for a total of 12 days from the start of fermentation.
Malolactic fermentation naturally takes place a few days after racking.
Maturation: aging in 225 l French oak barriques (60% first pass, 40% second) for 15 months; followed by a short passage in steel.
Aging: 18 months in the bottle.
Ageing capacity: Sycamore is a Morellino with a great structure, to be drunk preferably after 5-10 years from the harvest.
Pairing: with roasts and braised meats, succulent meat dishes, aged cheeses.
Serving temperature: 18°C
Ideal glass: a large Bordeaux type glass.
