“VIGNA BENEFIZIO” MORELLINO DI SCANSANO DOCG 2020 - 1 bottle of 0.75 lt.
Full ruby red wine, bright. The nose is followed by hints of roses combined with berry jam, the notes of cocoa and undergrowth are intertwined with spicy accents and still a delicate balsamicity on the bottom. The taste is round, dry, with a good structure and a character defined by round tannins and a pleasant flavor in the background. The finish is wide and long, consistent with the sense of smell.

Grapes: 100% Sangiovese
Training system: spurred cordon
Planting density: 4000 vines per hectare
Soil type: mainly sandy-silty
Altitude: 150 meters above sea level vineyards: 15 years
Harvest period: end of September
Fermentation method: grapes harvested at perfect phenolic ripeness in the homonymous vineyard. Hot maceration (35°C) for 12 hours; followed by fermentation at a controlled temperature (max 29°C) with maceration on the skins. Overall, the fermentation lasts 12 days. Natural malolactic fermentation a few days after racking.
Maturation: in French oak barrels with a capacity of 225 l, partly new, partly second passage, for 6 months.
Aging: in the bottle for a minimum of 3 months.
Ageing capacity: excellent when young, perfect 3-4 years after the harvest.
Pairing: with appetizers based on cold cuts and cheeses, first courses with meat sauces, red meat and game.
Serving temperature: 16-18° C
Ideal glass: a large Bordeaux type glass.
SANGIOVESE TOSCANA IGT 2020 - 1 bottle of 0.75 lt
Deep ruby red wine, has a sweet and pleasant nose characterized by fresh, vinous and fruity scents with awards of plums, blueberries and blackberries on a background of spicy notes. Juicy and moderately structured, on the palate it is dry, rightly soft, well balanced by the subtle fresh note and round tannins. The finish has a good length and excellent cleanliness and character.
Grapes: Sangiovese 85% - Alicante 5% - Ciliegiolo 5% - Merlot 5%
Training system: spurred cordon and guyot.
Planting density: 3500/4500 vines per hectare
Soil type: mainly silty sandstone, partly clayey.
Altitude: variable between 100 and 300 meters above sea level.
Age of the vineyards: 5 - 7 years.
Harvest time: mid-September.
Fermentation methods: harvesting and storing the grapes with carbon snow. Low temperature vinification (max 27°C) with maceration on the skins for 4 days, racking and end of fermentation without contact with the skins. Malolactic fermentation takes place naturally.
Aging: in steel for three months with fine lees.
Bottling: starting from the month of March following the harvest.
Ageing capacity: Sangiovese is a wine to be drunk young, within 2 years of the harvest.
Pairing: perfect with cold cuts appetizers, first courses with meat sauces and meat main courses.
Serving temperature: 16°C
Ideal glass: a large Bordeaux type glass.
VERMENTINO TOSCANA IGT 2020 - 1 bottle of 0.75 lt
White wine with a deep and bright straw yellow color. The bouquet is characterized by floral and fruity notes enriched by intriguing mineral nuances. On the palate it is decidedly fresh and savory, with pleasantness and character, with intense fruity notes among which the flavors of citrus fruits and a good structure stand out. The finish is persistent and consistent with the scents perceived on the nose.
Grapes: Vermentino 97% - Sauvignon 3%
Training system: spurred cordon
Planting density: 3500/4500 vines per hectare
Soil type: silty sandstone.
Altitude: variable between 100 and 300 meters above sea level.
Age of the vineyards: 5 - 10 years.
Harvest time: mid-September.
Fermentation methods: harvesting and storing the grapes with carbon snow. Low temperature pressing in an inert atmosphere; fermentation of the flower must at a controlled temperature (max 16°C). Malolactic fermentation not carried out.
Aging: in steel for three months with fine lees.
Bottling: starting from the month of January following the harvest.
Ageing capacity: Vermentino is a wine to be drunk young, within 2 years of the harvest.
Pairing: it lends itself to different combinations, from fish appetizers to first courses, to second courses based on fish or white meat.
Serving temperature: 10-12° C
Ideal glass: medium-sized tulip.
