The deep connection that the Bastianich family has with the wine world is brings back decades and generations. In fact, it dates back to meetings with the most important winegrower families in the seventies and eighties and to the promotion of the best Friulian wines on the cards. of the Family's various restaurants in the United States. It was precisely this passion for wine, combined with the desire to rediscover and rediscover its origins, that led the Bastianich family, in 1997, to plant the first vineyards in Buttrio and Cividale del Friuli, in one of the most suitable areas of Italy for the production of white wines. The Objective of the Bastianich winery is to absorb the history and culture of the area, creating unique wines that narrate of the place but that, at the same time, prove to stand out for their body, structure and balance. The wine we drink has an intense history, it is part of a tradition with very deep roots and often travels the whole world to get to our table. The vineyards are cultivated with effort and dedication, in full respect of the rhythms of nature. The cultivation practices in the vineyard are aimed at preserving as much as possible the vine and the soil on which it is planted and the harvest is also totally manual. This sustainability is also reflected in the choice of planted vine varieties, aimed at enhancing native vineyards such as Friulano, Ribolla Gialla, Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso, Picolit, Pignolo and Schioppettino.
