The secret to a successful dinner? Whole duck foie gras, salt and pepper, you're done! A
luxurious dish, one of the most famous products of French cuisine, duck fois gras is intended for refined palates, in search of simple but great value flavors.

For the production of this fois gras, La Drosera Gourmande selects the best lobes of foie gras, which are cleaned, salted and peppered by hand, without the addition of preservatives, sugar, alcohol or flavors.
Tasted as an appetizer, it is recommended to consume about 50 grams per person, while as an aperitif to accompany a toast, about 30 grams per person.
Serving Suggestions:
Put the foie gras jar in the refrigerator for several days. A few minutes before serving, immerse the jar, still closed, very quickly in a container with very hot water to facilitate demoulding. Also dip the knife blade in hot water before slicing your foie gras. Use a fine, toothless knife and clean it before each use, or better yet a thread to cut the butter.
Accompany fois gras with a fig chutney, confit onion, dried fruit compote, fresh fruit (grapes, figs, peach, exotic fruit), carrè or brioche bread, gingerbread or the Fouace de Laguiole slightly toasted.

La Drosera Gourmande è stata creata alla fine degli anni ’90 dal sign. Clause Rus, la cui esperienza e competenza scientifica nell’attività conserviera gli ha permesso di ottenere il massimo riconoscimento di Maestro Artigiano e di aprire la sua prima bottega nel centro del paese di Laguiole nel 1998. Oggi gestisce l’attività in famiglia con i suoi figli, responsabili della selezione delle materie prime, dell’attuazione delle ricette tradizionali e del laboratorio conserviero. Tutto il foie gras proviene da allevamenti di anatre francesi mentre i patè, terrine e salumi sono realizzati con carne di maiale dell’Aveyron. La Drosera Gourmande ha ricevuto il Premio  d’Eccellenza 2021 al Concours Général Agricole di Parigi, il quale certifica la qualità dei suoi foie gras vincitori dal 2002 di ben 24 medaglie.
