The Ancient Herbalist and Spezieria San Simone is certainly one of the oldest workshops in Florence: built at the rsquo; beginning of the 18th century near the Hospital of Santa Maria Nuova, has settled and mixed, over centuries of experience, the scientific knowledge of medical care and the empirical knowledge of the virtues ugrave; therapeutic of medicinal herbs, flowers and fruits. The recipes, strictly secret, follow the precepts of an old friar, a friend of Speziali's family who for centuries managed this workshop, and they treasure the studies that Dr. Fernanda Russo, a pharmacist who graduated from the University of Modena and specialized in Phytotherapy, as well as current owner, she has dedicated to natural care.
