Born and raised between London and the English countryside, Stella McCartney graduated from Central St Martins in 1995. Its unmistakable style, based on elegant tailoring and designed for a confident, sexy and feminine woman, emerges from her first collection and in 1997, after only two seasons, she was appointed Chloé's Creative Director in Paris, where she enjoyed considerable success. Stella McCartney launched the homonymous Maison in collaboration with Kering as a 50% joint venture and presented his first collection in Paris in October 2001. A vegetarian since always, the designer does not use leather or fur for her creations.
