The Conero Riserva Cùmaro by Umani Ronchi was obtained from 100% Montepulciano grapes harvested in the territory of the municipality of Osimo, in the province of Ancona. The original vineyards, with south-east exposure, are located on clayey-loam soils, sometimes sandy and calcareous with a rich presence of skeleton, at an altitude between 150 and 200 meters above sea level. After the manual harvest, carried out with a yield of 60-80 quintals per hectare, the bunches were transported to the cellar to be destemmed and pressed. The alcoholic fermentation took place in stainless steel at a temperature of 27-29°C for a period of 12-14 days thanks to the help of indigenous yeasts. Before marketing, the Conero Riserva Cùmaro was aged for 12-14 months in 225 liter barriques and for a further 6-8 months in the bottle.

The Conero Riserva Cùmaro by Umani Ronchi presents an intense ruby red color in the glass. On the nose it releases aromas of morello cherries and small ripe berries which intertwine with evolved hints of chocolate and notes and swirls of black pepper and sweet oriental spices. The sip is full-bodied and enveloping, enhanced by smooth tannins and a long finish still played on fruity and spicy tones. At the table it pairs well with mature cheeses as well as elaborate land dishes based on red meat or game.
