Crosara is a pure Merlot with a purple color, extremely rich and deep, a rich and intense aroma of small black fruits and very ripe red fruit, spices, coffee and chocolate. Taste with evident hints of ripe undergrowth fruit, accompanied by a very remarkable structure of sweet and elegant tannins.

Grapes: Merlot
Vinification: manual harvest, careful selection of the bunches, slight over-ripeness, fermentation in small steel vats with frequent punching down during the eight days of maceration.
Aging: for one year in new barriques and then in the bottle for six months.
Alcohol content: 14.5% Vol.
Pairings: Excellent pairing with game dishes, grilled meat, braised meats and long-aged cheeses.

The Maculan Family for Three generations selects and vinifies the best grapes of Breganze, an enchanting town at the foot of the Asiago Plateau with a mild climate that favors cultivation of the vine and the olive tree. The hills of Breganze offer an ideal soil for grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay, Tai and Vespaiolo and make it possible to obtain high quality wines. The activity begins in 1947 thanks to the commitment and will of Giovanni Maculan and over the years it passes into the hands of Fausto Maculan who, with stubborn and immense passion, brought it to reality current. Since 2007, daughters Angela and Maria Vittoria have enthusiastically supported their father in the management of the company. The company cultivates about 40 hectares with vines and olive trees and directly controls about thirty selected winemakers. The winery is located in the historic center of Breganze and is the scene of the wonderful marriage between the ancient tradition and the most innovative oenological technique. This makes it possible to produce great wines, appreciated all over the world.
