Intense ruby with violet reflections. Fruity on the nose, with hints of leather and spices. Of great character, on the palate it is juicy and fragrant with soft tannins and notes of vanilla, juniper and tobacco. Persistent, with licorice on the finish.

Grapes: 100% Fumin
Vinification: de-stemming of chilled grapes, fermentation for 12 days in stainless steel at a temperature of 24° C, with daily pumping over. Aged for 12 months in 300 l French oak. 6-month bottle aging.
Serving temperature: 17-18° C
Pairings: Red meats and game, medium and long aged cheeses.
Curiosity: the name Fumin comes from the smoky gray color of its berries, rich in prune. Traditionally used in cuts for its intense color, it risks extinction in the 1970s when, saved by local vignerons, it became part of the Aosta Valley DOC. It is vinified for the first time in purity by Les Crêtes in 1993, proving to be a wine of great elegance, suitable for long aging in the bottle

A heroic viticulture. We are at an altitude of 800 meters. The wines express richness and convey the emotions of an enchanted landscape. The company Les Crêtes produces its wines in a very particular context, characterized by high mountains, sandy slopes and alpine temperatures.
