Col d'Orcia's Brunello di Montalcino was obtained from 100% Sangiovese Grosso grapes grown on the Sant'Angelo hill in the Montalcino (SI) area, with southern exposure and an average altitude of 300 meters above sea level. of the sea. After the harvest (carried out by hand with a yield of 46 quintals per hectare), the bunches were further selected on the sorting tables in the cellar. For this prestigious red, the alcoholic fermentation process took place in steel in contact with the skins for a duration of 18-20 days, at a controlled temperature that did not exceed 28°C. The refinement took place for 36 months in 25-50 hectoliter and 75 hectoliter Allier and Slavonian oak barrels and for a subsequent 12 months in the bottle.

The Brunello di Montalcino by Col d'Orcia appears in the glass of a pale ruby red color with garnet reflections. On the nose, intense aromas of morello cherry and ripe berries emerge intertwined with hints of sweet oriental spices and light balsamic notes. The sip is full and balanced, supported by a smooth tannic texture and a delicate flavor that persists in the finish. At the table it pairs well with mature cheeses and succulent recipes based on red meat and game.
