Montenisa Antinori's Franciacorta was obtained from Chardonnay (78%), Pinot Noir (12%) and Pinot Bianco (10%) grapes grown on the Montenisa estate, located in the splendid Franciacorta wine district. For this prestigious bubble, the first alcoholic fermentation of the free-run must (the most valuable part of the must, the result of the first pressing) took place in stainless steel tanks. Following the rules of the Classic Method, the second alcoholic fermentation took place in the bottle, with refinement in contact with yeasts lasting 36 months.
Subsequently, the "dégorgement" took place, i.e. disgorgement, a practice by which spent yeasts are eliminated. Before marketing, Franciacorta Cuvée Royale Brut DI Montenisa Marchese Antinori rested for a further 3 months in the bottle.

FRANCIACORTA MONTENISA ANTINORI: TASTING
The Franciacorta Cuvée Royale Brut by Montenisa Marchesi Antinori seduces in the glass with its pale straw yellow color enhanced by a fine and persistent perlage. On the nose it expresses enveloping aromas of peach and white pulp fruit combined with fragrant hints of yeast and bread crust. The sip is elegant and lively, supported by an excellent balance between freshness and minerality. Excellent as an aperitif and as a wine for the whole meal, it goes well with fresh and semi-mature cheeses as well as vegetarian dishes and seafood recipes based on white fish, molluscs and crustaceans. Also worth trying in combination with white meats.
The Antinori Family has been dedicated to wine production for more than six hundred years: from when, in 1385, Giovanni di Piero Antinori became part of the Florentine Art of the Vinattieri. Throughout its long history, through 26 generations, the family has always managed this business directly with innovative and sometimes courageous choices but always maintaining respect for traditions and for the territory. Tradition, passion and intuition were the driving qualities that led the Antinori Marquises to establish themselves as one of the main Italian producers of high quality wines.
