North Sails was founded in 1957 by Lowell North, a sailor American and gold medalist at the Olympics. North was also an engineer, systematically trying to make sails faster than any other competitor. Year after year, Lowell North and his team were the first to apply the most innovative technologies, to conquer wind and waves. They explored the ocean. And they won regattas.
